Microphone Calibration Service
Performing noise assessment and analysis requires microphones of a reasonable quality, with known characteristics. Where authorities have SAM systems we are able to undertake calibration of new or existing microphones.
New microphones may need to be calibrated so that a response characteristic curve can be provided to analysis software for purposes of accuracy. Existing microphones may need to be recalibrated on a periodic basis so that their conformance to existing characteristics curves can be confirmed, and the supposed accuracy verified.
